Step aboard your comfortable motor coach as you set off on an unforgettable journey. Your first destination is the renowned Prophet Elias Mountain (Profitis Ilias), offering unparalleled panoramic views of the entire island. This stop promises a prime photo opportunity that you won't want to miss. As you descend from the mountain, your next stop invites you to explore a local winery, immersing yourself in the flavors of the region. Delve into the captivating world of wine production and savor the distinct tastes that the island offers.
Your drive towards Oia showcases the captivating volcanic landscape that defines this island's unique character. Be prepared to be captivated by awe-inspiring vistas from various vantage points along the route. The charming village of Oia beckons with its iconic, blue-domed churches, historic two-story mansions, and quaint cobblestone streets. Embark on a leisurely stroll along its alleys, lined with boutique shops offering locally crafted ceramics, paintings, and exquisite semi-precious jewelry. This picturesque setting provides an ideal backdrop to capture the essence of this extraordinary island. Get ready to capture the allure of Santorini as you curate a tour that encapsulates its breathtaking beauty and cultural treasures.
After Oia visit, you will drive to Fira town, the capital of Santorini Island; you will have the chance to explore the town, perched atop the dramatic cliffs. Wander through its labyrinthine streets adorned with whitewashed buildings and vibrant bougainvillea, offering amazing views of the Aegean Sea. Discover charming cafes, boutiques, and local art galleries tucked away in every corner. This breathtaking town promises a captivating blend of culture, history, and natural beauty that will leave you spellbound.
Note: Tour starts and ends in Athinios port (tender boats to/from the ship will operate to Athinios port for those on excursions and also to Skala port which is extremely crowded for those not on excursions). Excursions from the ship typically end at the top of Oia and you a provided a cable car ticket to return to the Skala port - in theory this sounds delightful, but in reality - the cable car queues are typically several hours long (not exaggerating), the alternative ways to return to the port is via the steps down the hill either by walking or riding a donkey - it's a shared path for both options. Our tour will have a bus to take us back to Athinios port to avoid the crowds.
